The name Francis Libiran has become synonymous to high fashion, and for good reason. The celebrated designer and his exquisite creations have appeared in local and international runways, red carpet events, television shows, and magazines. On December 1, World AIDS Day, Libiran offers his talent to the HIV advocacy as he joins Love Gala, Asia’s premier charity and awards gala, to be held at the BGC Arts Center in Taguig City.
Libiran studied Architecture at the University of Santo Tomas before he went on to pursue a course in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines. With his natural flair for fashion, hard work, and impeccable taste, Libiran rose to the top to become one of today’s most coveted designers. He is a top choice among celebrities, members of high society, and brides both here and abroad.
Libiran has been featured in Tyra Banks’s reality TV show America’s Next Top Model British Invasion. After his Hello Kitty Couture Collection appeared in the April 2012 episode of ANTM Cycle 18, Libiran started designing for Tyra Banks herself. He also presented his creations in an elaborate exhibit and fashion show at the Canada Philippine Fashion Week in Toronto in June 2013. That same year, Libiran was the lone representative of the country to the annual Sakura Collection fashion show in Tokyo, Japan. Libiran was also responsible for the winning gown of Miss World 2013 Megan Young, among his many other notable achievements.
At Love Gala, Libiran will use his gifts to wow the attendees and support the HIV advocacy. Designers Cheetah Rivera, Nat Manilag, Cary Santiago, and John Herrera will also showcase their impressive collections at the event.

A night when stars gather for a cause
The event will gather social advocates, game changers, famed influencers, world-class performers, and top celebrities led by Miss Universe 2015 and UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador for Asia and the Pacific, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. There will be breathtaking works of art on display featuring augmented reality technology, as well as pieces painted with the blood of a person living with HIV. Ten outstanding Filipino individuals who have made unparalleled contributions to the HIV and AIDS advocacy in the country will also be honored in the first-ever Ripple Awards.
